Not all of us are destined to greet the world at dawn. Some carry the legacy of ancestors who kept watch by the midnight fire, spinning stories into the darkness and standing guard while others slept.

I intend this to be an old school blog where I write primarily for myself about random things that come to my mind and things I remember from past travels. I do not intend to keep it like a curated travel website or a travel guide. And it is guaranteed not to be Instagram worthy.

Remember the days when you stumbled across a blog by a random person from somewhere filled with their musings and thoughts and then you spent days reading through every post, feeling a strange connection to a stranger’s life? Then Orkut and Facebook came along and everybody migrated there. Admittedly, the social aspect was nice for a while. Then it soon faded, replaced by the relentless scroll of posts curated by algorithms. Most of the feed became photos and short videos with very little to read.

This made me come back to the world of blogs, often re-reading the old ones I had subscribed to on Google Reader (RIP). So here I am, trying to bring that back and write things outside the walled gardens.
